By Melissa Lopez, Board President
Early this summer, Leslie Wehrman stepped down as a Board Director at the co-op. Shortly thereafter, the board appointed Mimi Hall to serve the remainder of this year’s term. Mimi first joined the co-op in 2009, and believes that local food systems are critically important to the health and resiliency of communities. She also believes that when local communities have a hand in food production, availability, and access, the benefits are felt locally. The co-op is excited to welcome Mimi, along with her experience and passion, to the Board of Directors.
At the beginning of 2025, Feather River Food Co-op will have three vacant board positions. We welcome all members of the co-op to run in the upcoming January 2025 election. If you have any questions or would like to express your interest in the election, please email board@featherriver.coop.
