Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship and Co-op Sponsorship
From our round-up program to local donations and sponsorships, there are many ways we invest in the communities we serve. One meaningful partnership is with Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship through their Adopt-a-Trail Program.
The Adopt-a-Trail Program gives businesses and individuals the opportunity to partner with SBTS and our National Forests by sponsoring maintenance on designated trails. These are National Forest System Trails, and the program operates under Volunteer Agreements with the Plumas National Forest and Tahoe National Forest.
Your co-op proudly sponsors the ever-popular Cascades Trail in Keddie. Each year, we collaborate with SBTS to support trail maintenance projects and community events. Throughout the season, the organization hosts everything from hands-on trail workdays to large-scale events like Mountains to Meadows in September.
Our support goes beyond sponsorship dollars. We’re proud to help feed every volunteer who shows up to lend a hand. Last year, we provided 250 wraps for SBTS events. This year, we’re significantly expanding that support and are on track to donate more than 700 wraps in support of their mission: building strong, healthy communities — one trail at a time.
Next time you hike the Cascades Trail, keep an eye out for our sponsorship sign (yes, it still features our old name and partnering bakery!). We’re proud to support trail access, outdoor recreation, and healthy communities — together.
