Feather River Food Co-op supports Ukraine Co-ops

COOP Ukraine consists of 15,000 businesses, 3,000 restaurants, 7 hotels and 300 markets that are cooperatively owned by their communities. Cooperative markets are an integral part of the modern Ukrainian economy, including consumer co-operation.

Our cooperative identity is structured around the 7 cooperative principles. Principle 6 states “Cooperatives serve their members most effectively and strengthen the cooperative movement by working together through local, national, regional, and international structures.”

Cooperatives are coming together around the world to donate funding to the Disaster Recovery Fund administered by the Cooperative Development Foundation. Feather River Food Co-op has donated $250.00 to the foundation.

NCG and Frontier Co-op have generously matched 100% of the donations received from food co-ops around the country. These donations will provide Ukrainian cooperatives with critical immediate and ongoing aid.

100% of money donated to the Disaster Recovery Fund will go to support cooperatives. CDF does not charge an administrative fee for management of the Fund. Individuals can also donate by going to www.cdf.coop and clicking the link for Disaster Recovery Fund on the home page.
