We are pleased to announce Feather River Food Co-Op’s newly elected Board Directors, Leslie Wehrman of Portola, Melissa Lopez of Taylorsville, and Wayne Cartwright of Quincy. Thank you to all members, both candidates and voting member-owners, who participated in the election, actively exercising one of the seven co-operative principles, “Democratic Member Control”. The new Directors will be officially seated on the board and begin their three-year terms at the upcoming April 21st board meeting.
The Board of Directors serve a critical role in the oversight and guidance of our Co-Op, supervising the General Manager, ensuring financial stability, and supporting the co-op’s commitment to community. Directors attend board meetings, trainings, plan member-owner co-op events, and serve on a minimum of two committees during their term. Please join us in welcoming Leslie, Melissa, and Wayne aboard!
